Glass pad recommendations pls.

I live where humidity is constantly at around 70+ so it makes my cloth pads really dull. I want to try glass ofc the cheap ones 'cus I don't want to have buyers remorse after. Looking at ATK Crimson and Kohaku by Tekkusai. If anyone has prior experience in these pads pls comment below. And oh! Please recommend me some more pads if there are better options.

If you can get the Kohaku by Tekkusai, it should really be your only choice; it is indisputably the best glass mousepad I’ve ever tested—far better, in my opinion, than the SP-005 or Xraypad NOD CR The only potential downside is the speed, which might take some getting used to, but if you're willing to adapt, I don't think there’s any competition; for me, it’s been perfect. The only real drawback is that you have to buy skates separately, as the Kohaku doesn't come with them. If you're looking for other "cheap" recommendations—since pretty much everything else is actually more expensive than the Kohaku—the Dysphoria and Uncle Gear pads are supposed to be quite good (though I haven't tested them personally). If you do go with a Dysphoria or Uncle Gear, you could choose a control-oriented model like the P LUCK V2—which, if I recall correctly, offers more control than the Kohaku to help with the transition, but in terms of price, nothing beats the Kohaku.

  Now your reply makes me want to get the Kohaku XD. I will watch a few vids for the Dysphoria pads as @vulpix had suggested before I get a pad. Does the Kohaku have a coating? I just saw a video where it says non coated pads last life time. (I thought glass remained consistent forever) Thank you so much for your insight!

  Yes, the Kohaku models feature what’s known as a "nanocoating." I’ve been using the mousepad for three weeks, and it still feels just like it did on day one; however, my understanding is that after 6 to 10 months, the coating begins to cause a loss of speed. It’s not a drastic change—and you can clean it to help maintain some of that speed—but it does have a coating, and the Kohaku will likely have a shorter lifespan than the Dysphoria or Uncle Gear pads. I’d still recommend it, as I think it’s incredible, but if you’re looking for something with greater longevity, the Dysphoria "Rin" offers a similar speed and would likely last you longer.

    Thanks again. I kinda am leaning towards the NOD CR is it a good pad? It is uncoated too.

    Dysphoria also has coating. Uncle panda pads (other than Jing Liu which is coated hy Dysphoria) Dont. Coatings are a bit too nice in my opinion, to avoid getting. I like my butterfly ruin, which is coatingless. But I like my Mio maybe more. I would love to try the Kohaku, im guessing its probably right around the same quality as Dysphoria from what i can tell online.

  Yeah the unboxing experience was by milles the best experience whit peripheral i had and the pad wss pretty nice but I dont use it cus after try the kohaku i feel the CR is way slower but I think is the best option if you are swapping from cloth to glass it have sleeve, and 40 skates i think its the best starter glass pad

I would recommend Dysphoria as a brand in general. Really nice pads. I also have a pad from Uncle Panda and theyre also around the same quality. I dont know if budget glass is a good idea. I had a cheap glass pad before, it wasnt very good.

  I had the same lingering thought about the budget ones.... Well now I think I want to check out Dysphoria now as I have seen the artwork and it looks really nice. I dont know if Uncle Panda is available in my country but I'll give it a quick google. Thanks!

You could try the Razer Atlas Pro. It's $130 USD (might be wrong), so it's not cheap, but Razer advertises a 30-day risk-free trial. I'm assuming that only applies to purchases on their website, but at least you'll be able to get a somewhat premium experience to start. Doesn't come with any skates though, so you might want to consider that.

  Just checked the price, yeah that thing is not cheap. They are just offering the pad at such a high price where as if you look at the Chinese comrades.... nice pad, acrylic block, skates and sleeves and so much(I looked at NOD by Xraypad in comparison, holy moly reviewer said it is even sprayed nice fumes so it smells real good XD). Thanks for the comment. If I am loosing hair thinking about what to really buy this seems a good idea Ill keep that in mind.
