*Disclaimer: This mousepad was bought with my own money, opinions are truly mine!* ## Key information **Specs:** PU Mid base, 500*500mm, Custom art designed by yours truly on Photoshop. **Price:** €32.21 without shipping, €41.16 with shipping. **Packaging:** Rolled into a vertical box, it didn't pose any issues for my unit but I've heard it was problematic for others and I wish they would ship all of their mousepads flat. *Note: it took around a day for the pad to lay completely flat on my desk as the corners were still curled after unboxing* ## Feel and surface The surface has a nice microtexture to it that is really smooth unlike Aqua Control 2 which was quite abrasive. Dynamic and static friction are the same as far as I can tell and it's quite low for a cloth pad, it really earned its Speed pad etiquette. Coming from a glasspad (SP-004A) it took me a day to adapt to the added friction but it was overall really pleasant. I have been playing on this pad with an inverted Pulsar eS sleeve and it worked quite well, it didn't catch the sleeve during movements. The base is the stickiest I've ever seen on a cloth pad, it doesn't move an inch after it has been set down unless you voluntarily lift a corner of the pad. Stitching is really well done. Since the pad has a PU Mid base, it's really firm and mice don't sink into it which I personally really like coming from glass. ## What skates suit this pad the best I have tested a few dot skates with this pad and I can say with confidence that TBTL v2 Control feel the best on this pad. Despite their name, the glide still is pretty fast and it really hides the pad's texture quite well allowing for a smooth, fast but still controlled glide. ## Conclusion I made this review because I was really bothered by the lack of reviews about Matrova products, I know there are a few sponsored ones for the Pink Storm but I really wanted to write a review where I took the time to feel and take note of multiple aspects of a product. I can truly affirm that Matrova is a really good budget option for qualitative mousepads, especially with that many choices for the size, base and custom color/art.
