Tekkusai x AIMCORE Kohaku: a few days with this pad and it's already goated
- 21–65cm/360

key information
Disclaimer: I have bought this pad with my own money so the opinions voiced here are truly my own!
specs: coated speed pad, 500x450mm
price: €49,99 on MaxGaming
packaging: very good looking, well packed, set in a cloth pouch and sandwiched between 2 foam inserts. The foam insert facing the pad has a velvet-like layer.
feel and surface
The surface is coated and smooth to the touch. If you're not sweaty you could totally use it without a sleeve. However it's really among the fastest glasspads on the market, if you don't like that much speed this is not for you. The only other glasspad I ever had was a WALLHACK SP-004A and the Kohaku is really much faster than that one. The base sticks really well to the desk and the pad won't move once it's set onto it.
what gear I used with the pad
I've used 2 mice: the MCHOSE L7 Ultra+ and the WLMOUSE Beast G Max. I've also tried several skates such as the Westlab Orange, Westlab v2 medium and small flat, Westlab Cream. My favourites were the cream since they trade a tiny bit of speed for even more smoothness, they pair really well with this glasspad in my opinion.
conclusion
Being an avid fan of speed pads I was really satisfied with the Kohaku. I still have to get better mouse control to aim like I did on my previous cloth pads. At that price it was really a no-brainer, peak performance for a fraction of the price pads of this quality usually sell at.
